SAVE THE DATE: 1st October 2025 – SAG ‘Lecture Day’ in Białowieża, Poland

The “Summer School” was first initiated in Trieste in 2023. Over several days, the participants had many opportunities to share knowledge, measure together, exchange ideas and get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Due to the positive feedback, this format is now to be repeated.

This year’s ‘Summer School’ will take place from 28th September to 1st October 2025 in Białowieża, Poland. Number of participants is limited and SAG members enjoy prior registration in a first step. Thus, we will only know at a later date how many places are available for external registrations. The registration formalities for external participants will be published as soon as more details are known.

At the end of the Summer School, on 1 October, there will be a public Lecture Day.
We will invite the broad public to this event!
The lectures will be held in English and in Polish with translation into English.
We will announce the programme and the registration form for the Lecture Day in as soon as possible.

The Białowieża National Park with its ancient trees has a lot to offer for those who are interested in tree statics. Anyone who has always wanted to travel there could now combine this with participation in Lecture Day. The national park usually also organises an impressive fungi exhibition in autumn. The date for this has not yet been officially announced, but internally the weekend after the SAG event has been considered.
